Designing clothing has been part of my life for as long as I can remember.

In 1997, I finally opened my first small boutique here in Vancouver. It wasn't much — just a quiet shop with a handful of pieces, a rail or two, and a clear idea of what I wanted to create.

I had spent years learning about fabrics, fits, and what truly makes a woman feel comfortable in what she wears. Not something loud or overdone, but something that feels right the moment you put it on.

Very quickly, I began to notice the same thing again and again. Women weren't looking for more choice, more trends, or more complexity. They were looking for pieces they could rely on — dresses that flatter naturally, feel easy to wear, and don't need constant adjusting throughout the day.

What started as a small idea slowly grew into something much more. Not by chasing trends, but by staying consistent in what has always mattered.

Over the years, the boutique changed in size, the collections evolved, and more women found their way to me. But the foundation always stayed the same: pieces designed for real life — for different shapes, different moments, and different stages of life.

For almost 30 years, I've focused on creating collections that feel effortless. Soft fabrics, thoughtful fits, and styles you can return to again and again. Each one produced in limited quantities and chosen with care.

Now, after nearly three decades, the time has come for me to close the doors of Elsie Dresses for good.

This is the end of our journey — and our final collection. Everything is now part of my closing sale, with up to 70% off every last piece. Once a piece is gone, it won't be restocked, and once these final styles sell out, they'll be gone for good.
